Project and recruitment enquiries

When you contact us, the information you provide may include your name, company, contact details, project location, drawings or document links, and your message. Recruitment enquiries may also include your trade, experience, availability, training and CV.

We use this information to reply, assess a project or work opportunity, prepare a quotation and manage related correspondence. Only provide information relevant to your enquiry; please do not send identity documents, payment details or sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.

Why we use your information

Our purposes are responding to business enquiries, assessing potential work and administering our business relationships. Where this is necessary before entering a contract at your request, the basis is taking steps towards that contract. Other relevant correspondence is handled in our legitimate interests in communicating with customers, project teams and potential workers. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

Website and email services

The website and enquiry form use WordPress.com / Jetpack services. Enquiries are sent to Straid’s email address and may be stored in the website’s form-response records. Hosting, email and spam-protection providers process information as part of delivering those services. See Automattic’s notice for visitors to its users’ sites for details of its technical information, cookies, international processing and safeguards.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the reason for the enquiry, whether it leads to a project or working relationship, ongoing correspondence, and applicable contractual, accounting or legal requirements. Information should be retained only for as long as it is needed for those purposes. Contact info@straid.net to ask about, update or request deletion of a particular enquiry or application.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to relevant processing. Contact info@straid.net. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Links to contractor websites, maps or document-sharing services take you to separate services with their own privacy information.
